CALCULATION OF THE RELIABLE RECEPTION AREA OF THE SIGNAL OF A DIGITAL TELEVISION TRANSMITTER, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE TERRAIN AND CLIMATIC CONDITIONS

Abstract

The development of an algorithm and a program that allows determining the real service area of radio and television stations (RTS) and solving on its basis the problem of optimizing the technical parameters and locations of RTS is an urgent task in optimizing terrestrial digital television broadcasting networks, as well as assessing the mutual influence of radio electronic means.
The article presents the results of the developed program for calculating of the reliable reception area of the signal of a digital television transmitter, taking into account the terrain, climatic conditions and visualization on a digital map using the example of the Kokand radio and television station in the Fergana region.
