Abstract

In order to synthesize sulfur-retaining complexes, the processes of condensation of thiourea with monochloroacetic acid and its salts have been studied. It has been established that mono - and polycarboxymethylene derivatives are formed by the interaction of thiourea with monochloroacetic acid in an acidic medium. The composition and structure of the products obtained were confirmed by element analysis and IR spectroscopy.
