THE RELEVANCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY FOR LOCAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

In general, 17% of the population in the republic uses centralized sewerage. It was determined that the provision of sewerage systems in the whole country in cities is 66.4%, in urban-type settlements 4.9% and in rural areas 0.5%. The low provision of the rural population with sewerage systems contributes to environmental pollution and poses a threat to public health. In this regard, the author has developed an individual local installation with a capacity of 1 m3 for the treatment of domestic wastewater in rural areas of Uzbekistan. The conducted studies have shown that the proposed prototype of an individual installation is effective for the treatment of domestic wastewater. After treatment at the plant, the pollutants contained in wastewater do not exceed the standard values.
